MUNash 2019 Socials
A key part of any Model UN conference is the opportunity to relax, mingle, and hang out with other participants in a more casual setting. This ensures that our conference equips participants with valuable skills such as networking but also with the opportunity to make friends. In 2019, we had the following social elements:
Social Night 1: Concrete Boots
Nestled in Richmond and paying tribute to the suburb’s past, Concrete Boots is your friendly neighbourhood bar – and was the perfect destination for MUNash 2019’s first social. Our delegates were able to relax after a full day of committee sessions with some food, drinks, and the games of table tennis and pool.
Social Night 2: Sonder
Housed in heritage building formerly home to a State Savings Bank, the venue for social night 2 of MUNash 2019 promises to send you off with the time of your life.
With a fresh decor of fairy lights, tiki-style umbrellas, and large spacious seating, delegates were able to celebrate the end of the conference over some food and drinks.
LinkedIN Photo Session
We wanted to offer participants the opportunity to get a headshot done for their LinkedIN profile (or other related professional use) since they will be dressed in business clothing. The Secretariat believed that this was a great opportunity for participants to tick off a career-building necessity and to engage with the conference in a more relaxed style.
